A bookkeeper handles the mechanical functions of maintaining accounting records. They follow a regimented monthly schedule and enter all transactions into subsidiary ledgers. The task perform by a bookkeeper are:
Limitation of human memory
Owners and managers being different persons
Preparation of financial statements
Need for financial information
Need of taxation authorities
