Should a domain pass a DNS check before moving to new landers?

Changing the nameservers is one step in moving domains to a new sales page. The receiving DNS service also needs to be ready for each name. However, .de makes part of that preparation mandatory.

DENIC now checks that the new nameservers are reachable and authoritative before accepting the update.

Would you want that safeguard on more domains in your portfolio, or would it add friction to routine lander changes? A warning with the final decision left to the owner is the alternative.
