Signs of a dying forum

What are the signs/signals that one's forum is dying?

I know two things:
1. Your unique hits is less than what you're getting on average.
2. Your frequent posters doesn't post frequently anymore.

hmmn, let me add, no quality post for a period of time and next is new members are posting spam so lots of new spam threads.

If you have advertising on the forums your income may be declining also...

2 or 3 months of inactivity can kill a forum.

We used to have frequent posters in past. But then I was busy and they all went their own way.

But we again now have more members who post frequently here.

So new members and new people will always come but after some time gap the quality of post decreases and if staff is not there to monitor the activities then it might give very bad results, from the SEO point of view or from the community point of view.

Alot of the things were already said. But it doesnt take much to get it back up. Just a great update, and effective newsletter and more advertising and you are back up
