Time limit for pagerank

hi,
I am new to this and just started my homepage, and am promoting it quite heavily based on some of the SEO tips that we find on the internet!
So, i was just curious to know, how long does it take to get a pagerank!

Also, i would like to ask how long did it take for any of your websites to get pagerank?

It usually takes just one update to show your pagerank on the toolbar if your website is eligible for the PR.

For me I had always got the pagerank in the update that falls right after registering the domain name.

If you are promoting your website then Pagerank is just a minor part of the whole thing. You will also have to focus on many other things that play an important role in getting your website ranked well for your keywords.
