I am daily going for a walk in the morning. It keeps me fresh all the day and keeps me fit all the whole day. The mind will be fresh for whole day.
 
Yeah, walking is the easiest and cheapest ways to be physically active. And you need to be physically active unless you want your muscles to get atrophied and sooner or later to become a vegetable. The human body was "designed" for walking. The function of every muscle, tissue, cell proves this.

For people who have problem walking outside the house, due to age, illness etc., can do the following,

Measure distance inside your house.
Gradually cover the distance for 5 minutes.
Increase the duration gradually by 5-15 minutes.
Take breaks in between.
Have a target of 1 hour a day. Split into several short walking sessions.
Do not walk continuously for longer duration if you have any health problem.
