What pet should i get?

I can't get a dog, cat or bunny because of where I live. I already had parakeets, frogs, turtles, and hermit crabs. My sister also has fish so I don't need fish.

I DON'T want reptiles, and i would prefer a pet i can play with. I can't get a guinea pig because it costs too much around where I live. There aren't any adoption homes near my area. I was thinking hamsters or rats.

I heard rats can get sick easily but hamsters may be too small to play with?

Rats are a little costly in my area for some reason. So what can i get?
