"THOTHTOWER" that will be TWICE the height of Mount Everest has been given the go ahead.
"TWELVE MILES TALL" space tower will be used as a pick-up point for astronauts and a refuelling station for rockets.
The plan is for astronauts to ascend 20 kilometres up the tower and then launch into space from there, saving 30 per cent of fuel that would normally be used.
"THOTHX-TOWER" will be more than 20 times taller than the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
