1and1 Denied Transfer?

I am trying to transfer a domain out of 1and1 to NameCheap. I just got an email from NameCheap they denied the transfer. I can't get a clear answer from 1and1 so I was wondering what I should do?

I unlocked the domain, got the auth code, and the Whois info is public. Seems odd to me that the request to transfer would be denied.

Mostly this could also happen if you are trying to transfer it out within a specified period of time.

Did you recently got it transferred from somewhere else into 1&1?
