advices on Duplicate indexing?

Duplicate indexing is when your site has duplicate indexed pages in search engines due to canonical issues, no proper internal unique pages, content copying etc. But i just have no idea on how to deal with this, can you guide?

First of all go and claim your website in google webmaster tools.

You can specify over there which URL you would like to use. A WWW. one or the NON WWW one.

After that you can redirect the other URL to the one that you want with the help of .htaccess. It is called 301 redirect via .htaccess.

As for the duplicate content it is in your own hands. You should avoid duplicate articles/content etc on your site. Moreover if someone else is copying it then you can report it to Google and file a DMCA notice against him or her.
