I have seen many domains registered on .com are on great rankings is it true that .com is the best extension ?

.ORG short for organization, is one of the most popular extensions today. Although it was originally intended for non-profit organizations, because of its huge popularity it is the most preferred alternative to .com and .net extensions. Anyone can register domains with .org extension.

if you find your desired address available with a .com extension then this is the best way to go as it is the most popular and recognised extension globally. however this is difficult due to the saturated .com market.

i would highly recommend registering with the new .co extension as this is a long replacement of .com this is where new businesses and entrepreneurs will have to look to

You rightly said, the .com is a very great suffix but you can go for .net .org if the .com is no longer available. What matter most is to make sure you are getting your keyword among hot niches whereby the need to get the keyword is high. Cheers.

Of course .com is better than .org . However,if you have to choose between a three word .com domain name and a one word .org domain name ,I suggest you to register the .org .

i always say .com extension domains names are having more demand..i too tried to get .com domain from   but i got .in only..all prefer for .com because its easy to remember for eg if u just give the domain name without extension, most of the people will try it using .com only..and .com domain is said to be more search engine friendly than any other domain..

Other extesions are also good, but you can go for them when the .com is gone. However, if you aim to flip the domain; you must make sure the keyword is strong and from a hot niche. Cheers.

Obviously .com is better than .org . But if you have to choose between a three word .com domain name and a one word .org domain name ,I advise you to register the .org.

Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. ... Boris Floricic, better known by his pseudonym Tron (8 June 1972 – 17–22 October .... from mentioning the full name on any website under the domain "wikipedia.org". ... and Wikipedia, and that the CCC itself did not take any position in the matter. ...

.com domain is consider more superior because of the preference. normally anybody going online to search for a particular product always type .com on the search box to look for whatever they are looking for. so the
popularity of .com out smart the other domains and another good reason is that it very easy to remember, so when chosing a niche to build a site upon, a .com domain is far more preferable. e.g of two of my domains on sale on sedo are registered on .com for easy remembrance.
