When you want to learn a programming language, do you buy a book or just browse for online tutorials?

I buy the book. The online tutorials are a great read. But still a paper book is a paper book.

It directly goes in brain. While the online tutorials sometimes goes bounce

both have its own benefits,i like to read e-book if the examples is given which u must have to use and do some practice on computer.for exp right now i m learning PHP i have downloaded one ebook and i m enjoying that book coz nice examples and programms given in that ebook so i can easily work on practicle with dreamweaver and mysql.i like this e-book.but some time subject is theoratical so i like to read book not e-book.
