Can anybody help in choosing domain

hi everybody

i am developing a website which will cater needs of 3 cities.- specifically directory services online

i am thinking of a domain writing 3 words same of the city names
like 3 cities are
1. snumyiur
2. hjuio
3. hjhdybcydhe

is it ok if i go for domain which will also bring my name fast on google n other search engines, also act as marketing tool.

this(above) may be a misconception that same name will bring ur site up in serchin engine, but can we try? this try ll certainly be expensive though

or i should go for simply giving 3 depicting three cities

i will be signing with google ads at the same time and some other SEO tools which i have learn from ur site(nameslot) only.

NOTE: people are googling the 3 city names with abstract like snumyiur market etc, i mean traffic is very high for these 3 city names on search engine atleast at google.

PROS PLease help with ur experiences.

I would rather go for a memorable name and then try to optimize it more with SEO techniques.

People tend to click 2 or 3 results in search engines and if they did remembered someone else's site then they will not search again and go directly to that other one

but what about my idea can i take these three city names in one domain and put it thro SEO and with ad management i think i ll bring it up but i want to know abt the domain, ll this be good idea

i hope to get this domain very quick on 1st 2 pages of domain, ll be doin offline marketing also.

BUT my question remain same is it really cool to go for this kind of domain in long run.

the idea is three cities any body who put a city name wid anythin else my site will come up coz it is a directory and proving service.

Rather than run the city names together like snumyiurhjuiohjhdybcydhe.com if would be better to seperate them with hyphens, with consideration to SEO benefits. The reason is that the search engines will be able to "see" all three city names in "snumyiur-hjuio-hjhdybcydhe.com. With them all together they only matches you will get will be for the first word or if someone searches for those three words as in "snumyiur hjuio hjhdybcydhe".

For the site you have in mind, I would rather register 3 different domains, like:

snumyiursearch.com
hjuiosearch.com
hjhdybcydhesearch.com
or
snumyiurdirectory.com
hjuiodirectory.com
hjhdybcydhedirectory.com

and point them all to the same site, or better yet, have one hosting account with 2 add-on domains. Create 3 versions of your site using the same basic pages, but change the names and words on each site, then make all 3 sites use the same database for all 3 cities. This way each site can focus on one city, but have additional content and listings for the others in the area. This would give you the benefit of 3 sites that are focused, but share the resources as if it was one large site.

The other option is to get a domain that makes sense for all 3 cities, but is also shorter and easier to remember. Like:

shhdirectory.com
shhsearch.com
Findshh.com
shhcities.com
3citydirectory.com
tricities.com
tricitydirectory.com

And frankly, I would use a .in domain for the site. You aren't going to get type-in traffic for these domains anyway, so I would go that route. In fact, all three cities are available for the .in TLD... this would make it PERFECT for the 3 site, 1 database idea that I mentioned.

one is the main city others are not that strong that i should give single-single directory, they r bonded actually the power is in making triciti dir and also the profits.

i got ur point of hyphen snumyiur-hjuio-hjhdybcydhe.com is gud for SEO, but than hmmmmm
if the cities are gud searched over the internet Search Engines must have a fair idea about, yes this is the domain-snumyiurhjuiohjhdybcydhe.com then these are the three city names
1.snumyiur
2. hjuio
3. hjhdybcydhe

putting a hyphen is extra effort whtsoever is the case, the domain string is long 2 hyphens would kill a viewer but if it comes up in rankin of in search engine no body will mind clickin(i think the traffic would come from there traditionally), i am newbie just a thought, i totally agree with hyphen domain as a developer thou.

what is in my mind was purchasing 6 domains u know all 3 words combination so that people,what ever they make combination the site loads, out of which making one a basic main domain and directing 5 domains to that basic domain and benefitting advertisments from those 5 domains before it redirects, just a thought.

i again want to ask which is best--
goin for tricities/ tricitisearch.com or going with snumyiur-hjuio-hjhdybcydhe.com/ snumyiurhjuiohjhdybcydhe.com
here which would be best for SEO??

I would say snumyiur-hjuio-hjhdybcydhe.com is the best for SEO, cecause there are other places in the world that are referred to as "tri-cities". But if you can verify there IS search traffic for the 3 names then I would use one or more that acutally has traffic. You could get all 6, but I would not bother with any that have little or no traffic. In this case you could get the un-hyphenated versions, but the ones with hyphens should work a little better from a SEO standpoint.

They hyphens are not good for type-in traffic, but I don't think that is an issue. More important is being found in seach listings.

I can't say how effective having 6 domains would be, but in general it will provide more benefit to concentrate your efforts or one or perhaps 3.

Those are not the real city names, are they? You fooled me there for a while.

hey why don't u guys put a separate topic 'DISCUSS CASE STUDIES' it would be a gud if bunch of ppl try to help research the case.

i am thinking of buying 6 domains in which 2 ll be functional.
and at the same time one domain starting from tricity , lets see if i can push it
