I am constructing my another website and i have similar content in two or more pages for that i need to canocalize that pages so please suggest how to do and what to do?
 
i think u should go and search on google u will get some info related your post.
 
My IT department is getting ready to setup the rel canonical tag, finally. I took a look at the code on our test server and see that they are using a single quote in the tag syntax (see code block below). Should I be concerned? Will Google read those lines the same?

doing this work in a wrong way can harm your website.So you make sure before placing this tag as you are going to place it on a right page.
