RE: Suggestions!!

I am not sure about the search engine compatible content management systems available.

I have a little knowledge about the various forum systems and I know that a few of them have separate plug-ins for those interested in marketing forums. vBulletin, the forum software used at a website that I work at, has a plugin called vBSEO which optimizes all of the pages for search engine content; however, I believe that both the vBulletin license and the vBulletin plugin cost hundreds of dollars.

If you are familiar with the php programming language, you might want to try phpBB, and see if there are any available plugins for search engine optimization and marketing.

RE: Suggestions!!

sNews is a good CMS for content. Wordpress with additional plugins can also work as a good CMS. Other CMS that I know of is a good and old XOOPS.

Other CMS which are open source and free

Dragonfly CMS
phpWebSite
phpNuke
Postnuke
RunCMS

For a forum like mine you would need MyBB. It is a free forum software. But to make exactly like our forum you will need to recode a lot of things that I have been coding in past 2 years everyday a little bit more and more.

oh okk, because was looking to start a forum and a website on security!!

But, out of all these cms that you have mentioned which ones are best for SEO, and creates pages that are .html and not .php.

I am having around 75 articles on security and networking and to hardcode it in HTML would be quite a task, so wanted a CMS that would generate HTML pages on the fly!!

For that purpose I think sNews would be the best one. It is light weight and is going to get the things done that you are mentioning.

Its SEO friendly. So you will get Mod_rewrited URL's

Thanks.

hi,
thanks!!
will check out snews right now.....

Thanks for the help, was a little confused after seeing all these CMS names!!

Also, there is no problem with PHP for SEO. And I don"t think there is any advantage of statid HTML over dynamic PHP if the pages are optimized well.
