I have been developing php scripts from last 3 years, but everytime I start a new project something comes up in the middle which halts all the progress. Now for example i was making a social tagging script in october month and then came the work load from other SEO clients and custom programming jobs. So I had to leave it in the middle and focus on the other projects. When I had finished that projects I returned to the original social tagging script and started working on it again. But this time it again took me a day or two to get my grip on it. If you are a coder and have experienced this kind of things in past then please let me know how to cope up with this kind of situation. I don't work in team I am all alone so there is no issue of others it's just me and my own headaches.

i am not a php programmer but knows c/c++, what i do in this situation or while i am doing it, is make a directory for this specific application, on day 1, on the next day, I will create a back-up of the original and then create new directory with the changes name or include a txt file with all the changes, in this way i know what is going on and what specific area did I stop.

I still have pending projects on my localhost which are over there from last 2 years. This kind of things happen in programming. But I have never ever gave up on any project. Once decided that it needs to be made then it needs to be made, time is not the factor. There are some preferences which get in between the project time line. Like doing some custom work, managing the sites. etc. But I think if you just keep up to it in end you will succeed.

dedication to the project being made is absolutely needed otherwise loosing on track is very easy if you already loose your faith to succeed
