Hello to All,

Yes, Directory Submission is ethical way, if you follow the search engine rules. It means your directory submission details must be unique. Submitting in high quality directories and do follow directories can be more helpful to your website. I think that you always get back links from directories. But I've heard that search engines give importance only major directory sites like DMOZ, Yahoo, etc

Thanks and Regards

Directory always gives benefit. An Users can search across a directory using keywords or phrases, or browse through the subject hierarchy. Best examples of a directory are Yahoo and the Open Directory Project.

I think it is also a one type of off-page optimization technique in link building strategy. But it takes too long time to process the result.`

Directory submission is one of an important technique in off page optimization and is mainly used for generating quality back-links. And this is an ethical way of seo.
