Does optimising every single page help?

Hi,

does each page like the login page or a page after entering the login page be optimised ???? Atleast with the basics like title & description as there is not much other content to optimise a bit further.

will it help ?
will search engines crawl in to the secured pages ?

Or should such pages be left with the company name.

I feel we should give a summary of the site in short for these pages instead of company name & page name like login here etc.....

Please give me your suggestion...
