Domains and its OVT

I did used to find good domain names based on their OVT

For those who don't know what an OVT is. It is the overture count of the searches performed for the particular word in last month.

And for those who don't know what overture is : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overture.com

I have recently found that the overture data is not showing me perfect results as it was in the past. Is anyone using OVT for their domain research? If yes then are they seeing this kind of fluctuations in the OVT figures?

I used to use OVT, but I don't trust it anymore.

What I have noticed is that the order of the words gets switched.

So one month I check OVT for wordA, and the suggestion comes back as wordA wordB. Next month I check OVT for the same word, but wordA wordB doesnt show up in the list, just wordB wordA.

Sometimes this tools really suck. I am seeing more and more cases where the person is performing searches for most searched keywords and then in end he comes to know that there was something wrong. I am not suggesting that the data might be wrong. Maybe the person analyzing the data is having some misunderstanding about that given data.

has anyone else noticed the OVT tool hasn't updated since January 2007...I don't think it will be updating anymore *sigh*
