Dynadot appears to have crossed another major growth milestone.

Todd Han, founder of Dynadot, posted on X that the registrar has reached 10 million domains under management. His short message thanked customers for trusting Dynadot with their business and suggested the company is still in growth mode:

While Dynadot has not yet published a dedicated 10 million domains blog post at the time of writing, the claim follows a very clear recent growth pattern.

Dynadot officially announced 7 million domains under management in June 2025, 8 million domains in October 2025, and 9 million domains in March 2026. If the new 10 million figure is confirmed in a formal company update, it would mean Dynadot added roughly 3 million domains under management in less than one year.

That is a notable pace for a privately held registrar in an industry where scale, pricing, customer trust, aftermarket tools and technical execution all matter.

Why this matters

For domain investors, Dynadot is no longer just “another registrar”. It has become one of the most actively discussed platforms in the investor community, especially for portfolio management, domain transfers, expired auctions, user auctions, marketplace listings and aftermarket-related tools.

Dynadot has also been building around the investor side of the market. In 2025, the company highlighted the launch of NameClub, its premium domain marketplace, along with a brokerage service and expanded marketplace partnerships. Its official 2025 recap also noted that Dynadot reached 8 million domains under management during that year.

The new 10 million milestone, if formally confirmed, would place Dynadot among the domain industry’s major registrar platforms by volume.

Fast growth from 7M to 10M

Dynadot’s recent public milestones show how quickly the company has been growing:

  • June 2025: Dynadot announced it had passed 7 million domains under management.
  • October 2025: Dynadot announced it had passed 8 million domains under management.
  • March 2026: Dynadot announced it had reached 9 million domains under management.
  • May 2026: Todd Han says Dynadot has now hit 10 million domains under management.

That pace is especially interesting because Dynadot has long positioned itself as an independent, engineering-led registrar. On its About page, Dynadot describes itself as an ICANN-accredited, automated domain registrar founded by Todd Han in 2002. The company also says it is privately held, debt-free, and does not maintain its own portfolio of domain names.

A bigger role in the aftermarket

Dynadot’s growth also matters because registrar scale can influence aftermarket liquidity.

A registrar with more customer accounts, more managed domains and more active investors can create a stronger internal marketplace. This may help with buyer discovery, expired domain competition, premium listings, brokerage activity and cross-border transactions.

At the same time, growth brings expectations. Domain investors will watch whether Dynadot can keep support quality, pricing transparency, auction reliability and portfolio tools strong as the company scales further.

Industry context

The wider domain name market remains large and competitive. According to DNIB, the first quarter of 2026 closed with 392.5 million domain name registrations across all TLDs. The .com and .net base alone stood at 176.1 million registrations at the end of Q1 2026.

Against that background, a registrar crossing 10 million domains under management is a meaningful signal. It suggests Dynadot has moved well beyond niche status and is increasingly competing in the same conversation as the largest retail and investor-focused registrars.

DNForum take

Dynadot’s rise is worth watching closely.

For domain investors, the most important question is not only how many domains Dynadot manages, but what this scale brings next: better tools, deeper marketplace liquidity, stronger auctions, improved brokerage options and more competitive pricing.

If Dynadot can continue growing while preserving the independent, investor-friendly reputation that helped it get here, the 10 million milestone may be less of a finish line and more of a marker for the next stage of competition in the registrar and domain aftermarket space.
