Ebay account needed!!

hi,
why cant i bid on any of the items? my account is clear but when i goto bid on anything they ask for a credit card?
When i click on the link "Verify using credit card" it says

"Sorry, we can not process this credit card for you. Please go back to the site you originally registered to use your Credit card"

Please tell me what should i do!!

Well this seems to me like the issue one of my friend was also having. He inserted a credit card for verifying paypal but paypal didn't accepted that card.

Try some other bank's credit card.

nope, my problem is different.
Ebay doesnt allow me to enter credit card information only!!

Means it is not allowing to enter your credit card numbers or is it saying that it cannot process the credit card after you have entered the number.

Wait i'll explain in detail.

When i bid on a product and click on confirm bid, it takes me to a page which says i need to verify my account and there is this link which says:

Verify using Credit Card

When i click on this link it displays a message:

"Sorry, we can not process this credit card for you. Please go back to the site you originally registered to use your Credit card"

Thats the problem!
Please tell me what to do!!

Are you trying to do this on the same ebay site that you registered on or a different one?

If you registered on www.ebay.in for example, and you are on ebay.com, then that is what I think they are talking about. If not you may have to contact ebay.

yes i did the same thing...
i am registered in ebay.in and i am bidding on items on ebay.com

But, when i goto myebay on ebay.in there is no such thing as verify using credit card!!

Can you go to the ebay.in site and bid on items that are listed on ebay.com from there? I don't know how it works, but it sounds like that is what you need to do. Try putting the in the auction number on ebay.in.

The best thing would probably be to contact ebay for help, since they should know...

ebay.in verified me with mobile. They sent the SMS and I just entered the PIN number and I was verified. This I did some months ago. Don't know if they have changed the verification process.

Now as you are mentioning that it is not allowing to add credit card numbers and before it, It's showing the message of "Sorry" then I think there may be some technical update going on or something you can try it later on. They have not even allowed you to enter the credit card number and before that they are showing this message so there is nothing wrong in your credit card.

Try ebay.in. Maybe it can be due to IP range and yours would be showing from India.
