how do you pick up domains?

Hi,
just wanted to know what is your strategy to pickup domain names, and how you value them I tried checking OVT w/ext but doing it with expire lists is just a waste of time - you won't find anything valuable so easily. What's your suggestion? Thank you!

HEHE. yeah man this is the myth. some foolish domains sell for thousands and some gems sell for reg fee.
