I have a site which sells verified domain seal and it ranked in 1-3 for most keywords related to it for almost a month now, but today suddenly it has dropped 2-3 ranks below :frown: can anyone give me some tips on how can I maintain the rankings on SERP's.

Get some deeplinks with relavant anchor text to that pages from some High PR and authority sites. Which should also be relevant to your topic which is domaining.

One idea would be to use your signature here on our forum itself so you would get some backlinks from domain related forum of ours.

Now how to generate backlinks it is a long story. But still you can submit your site to free directories which allows deeplinking. Plus you can write or get written some articles and submit it get it submitted to the article sites from someone.

Don’t stop link building for your website. But this time the link building should be natural and concise like you need to have high quality with low quantity backlinks to your website per month this will maintain your website SERP's

Best regards,

Have you checked the pages in the index? Are the most of them showing in supplemental? Try some onpage SEO if the offpage is not showing any good results. Try some tweaks.

First of all thanks all of you for reply.

Nick none of my pages are in supplemental, but I think i will try some on page optimization as you have advised and also continue Dir submission as suggested by seowits.

thanks all you people

When you are done with the directory submissions then please do check back and you can start article submissions and social bookmarking for your sites.

If you need any help with your onpage SEO then also you can start a thread in Help wanted section and someone will surely be there to help you out.

Thanks.

Has your traffic levels also changed?

This may sound like a dumb question, but the fact is that rankings do not always exactly relate to traffic levels. The reasons are that rankings change quite a bit, and they go up as often as they go down.

The problem is that if you are only optimized for a few keywords, you will be more greatly affected by this and hurt of most go down.

Hammered right on the head. Even if we are # 1 for some keyword it doesn't mean we will recieved loads of traffic. That keyword should also have some search volume and then it will send the traffic as many times the keyword is searched and people click on your result.
