How to recover Windows Vista?

I have a Dell laptop pre-installed with Vista, Since Vista eats so much of memory and I don't like it at all, I formatted the hard drive (not the partition for Vista recovery), and installed XP. Now for some reason, I want to get Vista back, can I use the recovery partition on my hard drive? And how do I do that? Will it works now?

No, You can not get back vista with the help of partition recovery software. You have to Install it again.

if its a dell system it has got a recovery section in the c drive itself which is default in the system from the manufacturers you can recover from that

I too have a Dell laptop with Vista. You can restore from the recovery partition, if not, you can reinstall from the OS CD provided.
