How to shop online without a credit card?

I am totally new to buying online. When say you go to a Futureshop website and you want to buy a computer, how would you buy it? I pretty sure it's not as easy as clicking the BUY NOW button. Can you buy online w/o a credit card?

some websites provide facility "cash on delivery" to make payments. you can use that option if you don't have credit or debit card.

Yes, I also agree that some websites offers "cash on delivery" as one of the payment mode, but what about other sites which requires credit card payment or EMI. Hence, in my opinion, its not that possible to do online shopping without having a credit/debit card.
