Hi..
The company is into Engineering sales and Technical training for the Refining, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Iron and Steel, Utilities and Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Industries. The name of the company is Technology Support Limited. I know the easiest name would be to use the actual company name but we wanted to do something different.

Take a few minutes and just brainstorm and try to come up with a huge list (about 100) of related words. If you get stuck just go to Answers.com and look up some of the words you came up with and read the descriptions. This will immediately lead to more new words.

One way of doing this is to brain storm along the lines of what @Lancer786 suggested, but use the Google Keywords Tool!

Find it at: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

This will help you find keywords that are relevant to your niche!

Before registering a new domain, check for relevant domains for auction on sites like Ebay, or the auctions at Godaddy.com, Namecheap.com etc!

If you find one that suits your niche, do a search at whois.domaintools.com - this will give you an idea of the age of the domain and so on.

An aged domain may have advantages over a new one.

I hope this helps...

Obviously, you want a keyword rich url but i think its best to start your search with the most highly searched terms.  Most likely these words will already be gone.  Sometimes the use of a hyphen will help keep the url short and focused with no seo disadvantage, however, you will loose a little to user experience.  Also, i would stick with either .com or .net.

There are lots of disadvantages on domains with hyphen. I adviced you not to register your company's domain with hyphen. You can go ahead with .com; it is even better to register with the .com and .net suffixes and use the .com as the main site and point other suffix to the .com . Cheers.

Pretty much all single word domain names in the popular extension have already been registered, and very many two word domain names have also been taken. You will probably need to come up with domain names with two or three words, this coupled with different domain extensions, or the use of a hyphen will normally produce a result that is acceptable, and more importantly, available.
