Indexing my website in Google

Relating to hosting, server and registration, all the formalities that were to be done are complete now and I have recently created a website too. To get indexed quickly, what should I do to attract Google crawlers? I am not really interested in paid methods and I don’t desire to use any of the black hat SEO techniques. A great way of getting indexed fast is by building links is what I have been told. Are there any experts here who agree with what I have to say? To get indexed quickly in Google, what other techniques can be used?

First you need to submit your site in search engines and then ping your site on free pinging sites such as ping fm etc.

As per my suggestion you have to do social bookmarking. Make list of high page rank and dofollow sites and submit your site, surely your site visible in search engine in short time. You can create blog and do internal linking with anchor text; this will also help you to index your page quickly.
