When I do a site:domain.com search, I am getting 208 results, whereas, when I do a site:domain.com/jobs search I am getting 313 results even though both are from the same domain. Though it was specified in the first search that some search entries were omitted because the entries were similar. How do I justify the difference?

Since Google's Big Daddy update, many websites have developed website indexing and Google bot crawling rate problems. After Big Daddy, Google seems to be indexing fewer web pages, particularly on recently launched website domains and low quality sites. This has affected the back-link count for many sites, which previously relied on low quality directory links amongst other sources,Partial Google indexing is now common for websites with few inbound links. This frequently results in only the top level domain (homepage) being Google crawled and included in the Google index, with other internal pages being partially indexed or not indexed at all.

Google Big Daddy update, many of the developed site and Google indexes sites is bot crawl rate problems. Big Daddy after the areas in which Google recently launched the site and low quality sites, especially in low to index web pages, feel. Impact on the number of copies to many sites, which was already low quality link between the evidence from other sources can link count, Google now indexing partial to sites with few inbound links are common. In many cases this is the top level domain (site), Google crawled and indexed in Google's index are included or not in other interior with indexed pages.

You can justify the difference by realizing that each command is just a small representation of links to -two- different urls. Try using Yahoo Sitesearch to verify and understand that internal pages will just have a different link count than the landing page.
