The reason why Wikipedia, Nextag and Amazon have ranked effortlessly is that they have a number of internal links. This fact has became known to the mob and everyone have become so aware of it. They possess domain authority and there was something that is an odd that helped them triumph. There is a possibility that it contains sufficient PR scope and quality backlinks for the site. Google has a weakness for internal links however, I was able to succeed in conquering bigger competitions. This is made possible through the aid of external links. Since one can acquire PR domains and make several pages out of it, I consider external links as of greater value.

As a user I find it annoying to click on an external link that I assumed was an in-site link. On my site I have a news section with blurbs that tend to be a mix of internal and external links.

I could swear I saw a site once that colored the links.differently. Does anyone do this? If so, has it been to your advantage?
