I registered this domain for the purpose of creating a sub-domain for each "jewish idea" such as kosher.jewishideas.com
I am planning on creating around 100 sites around jewishideas.com

The "problem" is, someone emailed me and wants to know if and how much the domain is for sale... but I have no idea what to say.
How much do you think the domain is worth?

I'm thinking that if i create all the sub-domains like i planned, this could really be worth much more than selling the domain now... unless the price is high.

For all i know it could be worth $100 or $5,000. I don't know anything about these things.

Any help please?

The domain is worth about $8, in my opinion. I see no other domains registered with those two words together in that order, and the version with a hyphen is not registered either.

I DO think you have a good idea for developing the site, but you could do that with another domain just as well. And I think it would be worth more, but you will have to put all that effort into building the site.

I would make sure the potential buyer is really interested and try to tell how serious they are. Do they have a lot of sites or domains? Are they Jewish? That can help you set a price. The other thing to think about is if you can take an $8 domain and sell it right away for $5,000, $1,000, $500, or even $100 that is nice profit.

You could find another .com or buy jewishideas.us or jewishideas.info and build the site you are thinking about.

On a different topic, you may want to consider if using subdomains is really the best way to go, or if just creating one large site would be better. My choice would be one large site, or a different domain for each topic, since 100 .infos are only going to cost about $300.
