Yes, this is a new domain! I came up with it to take advantage of the Fifa Football World Cup in South Africa.
While that event is going to last for a month between 11 June and 11 July 2010, there are a number of other sports that hold World Cups, including Cricket, Rugby, Hockey and Cycling.
This means that this domain will not "date" quickly if it is operated properly by the end user. There will always be content for it!
I'm betwixt and between selling it now, as things warm up for the World Cup, or waiting for a while and building traffic to it - maybe selling in a few weeks!
Two similar domains, worldcupupdate.com and world-cupupdate.com were registered, but the owners had not had any content on those domains as of May 28, 2010.
I'm not going to insult your intelligence by suggesting that the site has established income streams, though it does have potential.
It has links to Adsense, Amazon and Clickbank programs, as well as Ozelotteries (Australian Lotteries) and Sportsbet.com.au (Australian Sports betting site).
I am not sure if these last two are available to webmasters outside of Australia, but they wouldn't be too hard to replace.
The site itself is built on Wordpress, and I can help you with the move should you decide to buy.
The sale includes a month's hosting to give you time to decide whether to flip, or keep it!
