Which is gross and which is net? Where does the income come from? What expenses does the site have?

My friend, you have some things that are good about the site, but more that is troublesome.

Your current backlinks in Google are not anywhere close to what you are saying, and your Webalizer stats have to be incorrect.

Also, I see that you sell traffic on your site. Are you sending traffic to this site also? If not, where is all the traffic coming from?

I suggest you visit sitepoint.com and look at some of the sites that are being sold there so you get an idea of what buyers need to know.

And that goes for others here. If you are going to offer an opinion about how much a site should sell for, you really should learn more about what a buyer should be asking first. Sites that are being sold for more than $100 should have as much information as possible to protect both the buyer and the seller.

I assume that x-ecom is not a scammer, but there are some people that are. And there are stories about people buying sites that are not worth nearly as much as they seem to be because they didn't check into all the details.

By the way, the whois information for LookForStuff.com is not valid. There is no real name or phone number. That's a violation of ICANN rules and if reported, you could lose the domain so I would get that updated right away!

WOWZER

At one look this thread was perfect. I would say 12 to 18 months of revenue and for a good deal you can even land a sale for 24 to 30 months of revenue it is earning right now. I am also confused with gross and net profits. I think net profits are profits. Gross profits are not called profits but are called earnings.

Anyway Good to see you here as this is the first post of your so welcome to the forums. If there is something we can help you with then please let us know.

Please clarify the difference between the monthly earnings and the monthly net income.

Earnings refers to the total amount of money amassed by the website and all of its related subsidiaries before taxes and expenses are taken out of the figure; net income refers to the amount after taxes and expenses are taken out of the figure - your profit. These two categories should be separate, and it might be nice for your portfolio to calculate a yearly or quarterly estimate, too.

I will refrain from appraising the domain since we are unclear about the statistics of the website.

Please update the WHOIS database information for your website. It's good to take care of these things before a possible sale. You want to look presentable!

Your domain is very good and also 8 years old and your domain's traffic statistics is to good so you of course get great offer from someone.

You better know which is the best place for buy and sell product or domain names. Every forum is good for business or buy and sell domain names. But it's depend on forum members mood and you know that, that's why you registered here on this forum right.

Domainer and webmasters always finding new place or forums because they don't satisfied with one place or forum.

By the way I don't tell you more but tell you only one thing Nameslot.com is the best place for buy and sell domain names. And you get best price of your domain here on this forum, Just continue your posting and get some rep so members know you and believe on you.

Thanks.

Look for stuff. It looks like a domain name that can be developed into some products search engine. If you don't have ideas on how to create one for that then you can also use amazon feeds and make a searchable products catalogue and it will generate revenue for you.

For domain name alone it will be around Low $xxx maximum.

To all posters: Thank you all very much for your very insightful
responses. I have taken many of your recommendations to heed
like updating the whois etc

I really like the idea of re-developing this site into a shopzilla.com - shop & compare model,
I am a web developer by trade and have been looking into this approach for a while now
to increase the profit potential and overall resale worth.

On the revenue issue the stated at the top of the thread gross per month
as the bulk of the income comes from advertisers deposits
which can range from $10 - $100 so this is an average over total annual
Thanks again and much success to all!

x-ecom thanks for your kind words. We are glad to be of any help to you. If you have some other questions with which we can give our opinions on. Please don't hesitate to ask them. Thanking You.
