Maintaining position in Google

For its main keywords, there is this website that I have been redesigning and it has already been ranked at the top of Google for the keywords in question. It somehow doesn’t seem right and that is the main problem. While the only place that mentions the keyword is the title, it has only about 7 backlinks. I might end up losing position for the site in spite of my good SEO work is what I am worried about. Is there anyone who can look at the site and explain this particular. Please help me I will be extremely grateful to you.
