Well I have heard about one phrase in early 2000 that "Even homeless people are building homepages on the internet". I was not interested in it. As a webmaster I had more then 2 million pages of my own when I add up all my web sites. Then came myspace.com and all the hype about myspace with it. On every forum and every blog myspace, myspace and myspace. It was everywhere. At last I created one page for myself also and I can bet you also have one for yourself and that is why you are reading this to customize your myspace profile page and make new friends out there.

Most of the times your profile says a lot about you. You wouldn't want to have a simple white background with two or three pics here and there type of personal page. Then why not make it more appealing and colorful. This feature of decorating your profile is not available in most of the other social networking websites. But yeah myspace has it.

Now the problem is that everyone is not a web designer and programmer and you want to make your profile a bit extra compared to the other millions of profiles out there. That not a big deal. Now you can get colorful backgrounds, glitter words, myspace icons, cartoons and animations for your profile all from http://www.msdump.com/

Just choose the things you like for your profile and try it on. Don't like it? Then get another one because this is not like clothes that we purchase from the stores, it’s all FREE!!! If you don't like your new background or some things after some days you can always return to MSDump.com and get another who needs money.

Now if the profile is set and you are ready to get some new friends then what to do? Don't worry the site also features the Myspace friends train. Take a ride on it and see you will get lots and lots of new friends.

do you feel that myspace actually helped your sites grow? i have tried it and have about 400 friends so far but it hasn't really helped my websites to become more popular. any suggestions?

Myspace accounts are being swapped and sold by many webmasters. I don't know personally if it helps bring in traffic but who knows then.

I cannot call some 5000 people and tell them to join this forum of ours. As 4995 people wouldn't know what a domain name is. and if it can be registered or it can be sold.

well you would target people on myspace who are webmasters and then you would make friends with them. it is possible to search for people in this way to find people with common interests. most webmasters would be interested in your site on domains etc.

i agree it would be totally pointless to make friends with some teenager who only signed up with myspace just to be cool and be a groupie after their favourite rock band! :)

in my case i tried to make friends with people who live near me. but it seems to not be working ...perhaps many of them are semi-computer illiterate and don't really understand what a forum is (let alone know how to join up a forum and post topics). perhaps i should target people who are webmasters PLUS live near me instead for better results!? :) thanks for inducing that brain wave!.

cheers :)

For some sites myspace promoting is good idea. But for most it's not. I don't see it as good way to get members. You can, if you make a group about your site, make really great looking profile as well, and get your current members to advertise in their profiles also
