New site ideas?

I want to make a new site. People describe a little about them selves and their site or what they do. Then everyone else comments.

Has anyone heard of a simple script (preferably free) that can allow people to write like a short paragraph for example and then let everyone else comment.

You can develop article site, tutorial site or blog so people should be submit their articles and tutorials on your site.

And then people coment.

Not a full article or tutorial site.

You can do what you are talking about in a forum like this. And a Wiki would also work well for that.

Oh yes, a blog could work the same way where someone sends you the information and you make a post and then others can comment on it.

Maybe it would help if you could talk more about what you are trying to do (without giving your ideas away completely...).

A forum is to clunky. Cuz I need multiple categories. Nobody will visit a 1 forum site.

I'm no good at categories and descriptions. I just like seeing other sites and how they were created. And seeing what others do. Like a directory kinda.

But instead of just a thousand links in boaring directory. It'll be sorta like more interactive.

You not only get link but a brief description (1 or 2 paragraphs). And then people comment. Nice site, I like how you..., etc.

A forum is just to clunky for that.
