Opinions on blog scripts

Lets get your opinions on the blog scripts. I know most of you will be going for wordpress. But still there are some other scripts too which can be just checked if someone doesn't wants to go with the crowd.

Wordpress
Nucleus CMS
Dotclear
Textpattern

I have used wordpress and Nucleus both. Both are great.

I maintained a personal blog with Wordpress on the hosting of a friend. The control panel and the interface were very simple and clear to use, and I found myself making more and more customizations with little to no experience using blog scripts.

I have about 30 blogs with blogger.com. I know, I know, it's not a script, but it is free and it does work well.

I have most of my blogs as sites or added on to sites. They work well and the thing that I really, really like is that I can update my blogs via email.

I also have two WordPress blogs and they are really cool also. The are better for programmers and have lots of plugins for all kinds of things. I can also update these via email, but it doesn't work as well as Blogger. If you are not careful with the formatting, the lines in posts break and it makes them look pretty bad.

If I could get the spam control from WordPress on my Blogger blogs, I would be in heaven.

I once installed a B2 blog to try it out. It was a super spam magnet and I had to dump it in about a week, but that was a long time ago.

I was going to go with WordPress for my projects on cooking and healthcare.

Since I am still in the research process, does anyone have any positive experiences with any of the other blog tools? Are there any listed that are easier to use than WordPress?

i have some blogs on wordpress, but usually i go for blogger, i like it design and control panel.
i have created blogs just to get links and traffic to my sites.i didn't tried to create blog using wordpress theme.will try some day..

I have one blog from last year it is old and I am not even able to pay much attention to it now. But its SERP's are good. Which brings in comments spam atleast 4000 to 5000 comments spammed on it everyday. Once in a while I do make some posts on it.

It runs on wordpress. I have been using typepad before but then moved on with wordpress due to the vast variety of plugins it offers.
