PHP VS Java

I prefer Java because, last time I looked, there are things that I can do in Java that I cannot do in FTP. An example would be an FTP server or a multithreaded application.

Java is a well designed language but php is extremely easy to use. It took me some time to figure out how to use servlets and jsp but only a few minutes to hack out a php script.
