I believe this to be a good domain for a script selling site and hope it is near the appraisal I got from estibot.com???

It was around $3,000.00???

All help and appraisals would be much appreciated...

Thank You

$3,000? That's an automated service, right?

The domain is not bad, but "script source" would be better than "scripts source". The reason is that people would say "script source" but not so much "scripts source". The English usage would favor the singular. Another example is the word "software". In the US we would never say "softwares", because we refer to "software" for both the singular and plural usage.

So, since there are other domains available, I would have to rate this domain in the $xx range. While that may be disappointing, if you can sell it for 2 or 3 times what you paid for it that is still a nice profit.

I think it is. Humans cannot make that huge mistakes. :gasp:

For the appraisals. I think nielsencl is right software is software it is not softwares. Script is a script. It is not scripts. But the invented word "Scripts" is also getting famous nowadays. So maybe Low $xx to Low $xxx for it. Just find some end user and you will have a good deal on it.

Yes it was automated...from estibot.com

Thank You all for your help, I didn't realize the s at the end would be so detrimental :embarrassed:

Well, don't get too discouraged. If you don't have plans for the domain, I would put it up for sale either at a fixed price or auction here or someplace like Namepros.com.

"Scripts" is a real word of course, but it just would not be normally used together with the word "source". I just realized that along with the software meaning, there are two others as well. Movie or play scripts, and the word is also used as slang for "prescription" as in drugs or medicine.

So, given that meaning I would have to revise my estimate because the plural of movie script and drug script would be "scripts". I think it would work well for those kinds of sites.

That would give it more potential for the upper range of $xx-xxx if you found the right buyer, but it would depend on how many other good variations of the domain are available.

I think these appraisals can be quite valuable in uncovereing different uses for a domain. Sharing this with potential buyers can give them an idea on how to use the domain for a certian kind of project that they might otherwise think of. :-)

Yes, I think that with the keywords in the domain, you should have no problem finding a potential buyer who may use the domain name for something.

It may be a good idea to park the domain, too, since you may get some type-in traffic for those looking for the source code of a script or something? Just a thought. You might get some of the traffic from scriptsource.com, too.
