One of the best ways to get easy traffic is social bookmarking. We get much traffic for a short period. But, are those links in social bookmarking websites good for our website in any ways? Do these links work as back links atleast in a website with high PR?

If the page where your link resides is a good one then it is worth it. But normally the links get dumped deep under other fresh links arriving everyday.

So the page on which your links are would be PR 0 most of the times.

Is it the case if we submit to social bookmarking websites that have a page rank of PR 5 or above?

I thought that atleast these websites will help to fetch our links a back link status.

The Main page is PR 5 sometimes the page on which your link resides have many outgoing links and the PR of that particular page is not much.

So you should count that page's PR.

Thanks.

Thank you for the informations. I have seen members arguing on other boards about the back link status from Social bookmarking websites. Now I feel that there is a major point in what you've said.
