Suggestions for my project

I've been looking for promotion of my non-profit venture.

I welcome goodwill suggestions of the people here

What kind of suggestions you are looking for?

My first suggestion would be to shift this whole thing from the subdomain to a .org domain.

Of course.

These activities soon will form an NGO; as soon I get some interest from the public, may be i next 2 months!

I've already planned this.
*.COM will be moved to .ORG in summer 2007.

And I will then sell .COM to some interested media company for its commercial project.

I've been looking to inform people about this and get them join my charitable non-profit project. How could I do this effectively?

I am myself interested in charity.

I would suggest taking donations and spending them wisely will open more doors for more donations.

Your trust will surely need some publicity. Try to get that publicity by providing the services or help that you have promised from the donations recieved.

It will help your trust to boom and grow a thousand times bigger then it is right now.

You'd need to explain more or have further proof that you are a non-profit organization, and where the money is going. How would anyone know that you really are a non-profit, or what type of a non-profit, what charity is it, what the purpose is? Simply having a site and calling it a non-profit organization and sticking a Pay Pal button and saying pay me is not enough.

I have several non-profit domain names, maybe I should type up a site and put a Pay Pal button on it. Do you really think someone would pay me a dollar?

You'd need some testimonials, some type of proof that you are what you say you are.

You're correct. I've no proof to this work.

Funds collected from there are used for students' finances and needs like study, VISA, computer accessories etc. Till now, only 1 person donated via there.

I'm publishing who's and whatever's is donated via there in place. So, this is little somewhat justifies my intention.

After I get public response, I can register the work as a NGO and open a bank account on its name. Eventually, whole 'domain' will be moved to .ORG.

If there is done, I will publish whole plan and more explaining pages there.

I'm looking for few people help me in this work and spread my work.

I'm employed; I've other professional activities and Web sites for my personal and individual profit. Hence, I don't misuse any donation. And I'm not crazy or stupid to plan such work on a Web site and put all that information.

Do you really think someone would pay me a dollar?

I'm not sure. However, I try. I'm trying. I recieved payment only from 1 good soul and it is published there, as it is.

There are non-profits set up by big people like Microsoft in US or Infosys in India. They people work; I don't know Even if they're working, they sponsor students on basis of merit (like students from IITs!!).

My point is help students and their studies on basis of economic need.

Anyway, many many non-profits exists and collect millions of dollars and work in the activity of food, health, poverty, slums improvement, childs adoptation, education of girls or villagers, calamity like natural disasters, crime-affected people etc.

I've a different plan.

Noticed you only are taking $10 donations?? Isn't that a lot to ask for, perhaps have a button where they can donate whatever amount they wish to.

And you have some sites in your post with links under the words, you need to only have the links in your signature please (or of course on the subject line in certain advertising areas). You may wish to edit some of those links there above.

Well if you want some of my non-profit domains, send me a PM and explain your program to me in more detail.  We need more programs to help the poor, needy, sick, elderly, disabled, etc.  Bless you for trying to help even one needy student.  They may need books for instance, clothing, housing who knows it.  

But I'd stick with the big organizations such as The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity as people KNOW all about those places already.

In fact about a week or two ago our State Senator came for a visit in our area and I stood up and told him just that we need more funds for the social programs, not less among other things.  I even went in front of our County Board and told them the same type of thing.  And believe me I wasn't the only one, we had about two hours worth of speakers.

There is already a 'Donate @ your discretion' button where people can donate less or more than 10.
And their name and/or link and/or country plus donated amount is displayed on the donation page.
About my signature here, I've only one Web site linked to it.

I am happy to note that you're are doing charity work.
You're helping the poor, needy, sick, elderly, disabled, etc.

My conception is different.
I wanna help students because once they get superb career and employment, they will be useful to society.
Then, they will enjoy a real life and may help all the mankind. Even they may spread and contribute my mega program.

I've not registered it as an NGO (because of no funds) is the weakest point and overall doubt in my program.
This prevents me from presenting it formally to public. Though, I am waiting for good time to come.
I hope destiny will favor my goodwill

You asked details about my visualization of the student funds' program. Thank you again.
My concept is really very great and I can't explain it to anyone at present until I register it as NGO.
