Not many people have heard of Ernie Davis! He was the first black player to win the Hiesman Trophy! Some say he was a better running back than Jim Brown! He broke many of Jim Browns football records at Syracuse. He died of cancer before he ever played a down of professional football. It is a great story about a player who never lived to play in the NFL! He would have been better than Jim Brown.
