Hi,

I'm a very new mod here, so I've not taken any action on this subject - I thought it best to raise it here first.

The tournament has certainly attracted some new users, and that's great, some of their posts have been good.

Some of the posts (mostly chocokriz) are blatantly just upping the post count.
They quote the previous post to get around the min character count system.

Check post #9 on this thread to see what I mean.

Another (borderline) example:

Anyway, I'll leave it up to you more experienced mods to take action if you think it is necessary.

Humm..... In real I am more low life then them and very good at post paddling. We will keep a watch on him. I will send him one nice PM right now explaining the situation. Hoping he will understand it and not repeat the mistakes. Our main goal for the minimum character threshold is for the SEO part of the forum. Many people do agree that Nameslot.com is really helping them in their SERP's and the content here is getting highly ranked in the search engine index. If we [The Staff] want to continue as it is and would like to see our pages right on the top of the search engine index then we will have to keep a watchful eye on the quality of the posts. That is why I have sacrificed many posts and bumps but have stuck to the quality posting. People in appraisal also had a bad habit of making posts like:

"XYZ.com - Appraise"

As if we are their servants hired by their forefathers to give them free appraisals here on our forum. We keep it clean. We worry about its getting hacked. We get the links for it. We pay for the servers. We also give them revenue sharing.

Still if the things are not getting in their thick heads then Staff has full powers to Kick and ban them right on the first warning. We will manage with less number of members rather then a gang of fools making all of us looking like a bunch of n00bs.

Thanking you RCRiver for your suggestions. It was really cool of you. Thanks.
