A content management system is a computer application used to manage workflow needed to create, edit etc..

The internet seems to be littered with websites full of free (and paid) Joomla templates. From the template manager I had no problem switching between them. I did find that a lot of the templates were from an older version of Joomla and required me to turn on legacy mode to use them. The amount of flexibility I was able to get out of each template varied a lot. Some templates had lots of options and others had very few.

A content management system is one type of management system through we can manage the work of employees in appropriate environment and it is the one type of collection of procedure. Through cms we can improve communication between users and user can easily improve report writing skills

Here I write four types of content management system

Document management systems
Web content management systems
Enterprise content management systems
Component content management system

A content management system is critical to the success of almost every website and intranet, and yet many organisations are not familiar with this technology.A content management system is frequently a web application used for managing websites and web content, though in many cases, content management systems require special client software for editing and constructing articles.A CMS web presence allows you to manage your web site even if you have no technical knowledge, experience with HTML or web site design.

CMS is a one of the most best web application where a site's overall look and design (the template) is static and yet the content can be altered by a user who has been given sufficient permissions.. The most effectebale Drupal and Joomla are two of the more popular ones. WordPress is also more geared for publishing blogs.

A content management system (CMS) is a software system which provides website authoring and administration tools designed to allow users with little knowledge of web programming languages or markup languages to create and manage the site's content with relative ease.

Most systems use a database to store content, metadata, or artifacts that might be needed by the system. Content is frequently, but not universally, stored as XML, to facilitate, reuse, and enable flexible presentation options.

A presentation layer displays the content to Web-site visitors based on a set of templates. The templates are sometimes XSLT files.

Most systems use server side caching boosting performance. This works best when the WCMS is not changed often but visits happen on a regular basis.

Administration is typically done through browser-based interfaces, but some systems require the use of a fat client.

Unlike Web-site builders, a WCMS allows non-technical users to make changes to a website with little training. A WCMS typically requires an experienced coder to set up and add features, but is primarily a Web-site maintenance tool for non-technical administrators.
