There are a lot of ways to do that, including put in sweat-of-the-brow work for generating data or insights, or it can be as simple as creative. You can also say something controversial discussion (the latter a tired if you have too many, though) generate. Sometimes even a little work can generate a reason for people to link to you. its a not a black hat seo.
