Ok. I'm new to the game here. If I buy some names that I think would be worth something, what would be my next step?

Should I immediately put them up for auction somewhere? If so, where's the best place to do this? I know eBay has thousands of them on auction right now but there are other sites out there (like this one) that also have auctions.

Is is best to try and develop the name with an associated site? If so, is there a quick way of doing this?

What about parking pages? Should I make my own with affiliate links and ads or use a service like over at AfterNIC?

Thanks for the help!

Let them mature is my opinion.

Develop it get some press release and get some PR for it. All this can take 3 or 4 months.

But with 20 domains going at one time. Your 3 months will pass in a flash.

Then sell that 20 domains or 15 out of them and you will get huge profits. :D

What's the easiest and least expensive way of developing a site? I've tried to come up with an easy way of developing a site and thought of the following:
-get free (or almost free hosting) on eBay. There's a seller over there that gives the first year for free and then starts to charge $5/month after 12 months
-install some blog software on the site
-copy some free articles from a place like ezinearticles and put them into the blog
-enter about 3-4 articles per week for each site until they start to get page rank
-hopefully after about 3-4 months of this the domain will be ready to be sold

I don't know if this is what is meant by "developing the site". Do you think this would work?

So what about these parking sites? How would somebody find your page if your domain is parked at a page that you don't personally develop? Take for instance the only domain name I own besides my personal ones... businesshonors.com. At this time I've got it parked over at Sedo.com. Would someone have to actually punch in businesshonors.com in order to find this landing page? I wouldn't think it would show up in any search engines.

Yeah they would have to punch in that name or you can put this name in your signature and then go to forums like the one we have here (Nameslot.com)

This will get some if not more, Traffic to that particular site of yours which is in the parking.

For SE's we will have to forget this thing as the SE's don't like the single page websites and don't even rank them properly.

You can do one thing though. Develop this and get some PR and reguslar visitors. Then suddenly park it. :D

That traffic will go to the parking page and you will get money. But who cares to destroy a nice working site. :D
