If you are very new to search marketing or you can say that search engine marketing then you should follow these basic steps to get good rank in search engines likes google, yahoo and msn.
1) always post quality and unique content.
2) Never use a lot of links on tour posting, use maximum 3 links in a single posting.
3) Make forum discussion on relevant topics.
4) Make good blogs with good content.
5) submit your sitemap to google.
6) Submit your site to social bookmarking sites like digg, de-licious etc.
