Hello friends,
Why google gave too low PR this time?
I had PR 4 one of my article site but in this google PR update google gave me PR 3. :crying:
And not only me but lots of webmaster face this low PR problem. There sites PR gone down. I don't know the reason why google gave low PR this time?

It surely changed the things this time as the PR 0 pages are now showing Grey bar.

The content links are still highly counted in the hierarchy of the algo og Google. So if you have content links too pointing towards your site then this might not make any effects on your PR or traffic.

Dear pranav if you are talking about your site comparelinux.com then I did performed a check on it. Below are the results of it.

Pagerank is 0
Alexa rank is 4,228,131
Links in Google = 0
Links in Yahoo = 96

Indexed pages in Google = 46
Indexed pages in Yahoo = 5

13 pages are in supplemental results.

I think you are in serious need of some unique content related to your topic of the site and some heavy backlinks from relevant sources.

oh man....how did u find that information...............
i can write unique content....about the topic...but from where will i get the backlinks....i mean i tried article submissions at a few article sites...and then i checked my articles and i found out that the articles arent indexed by google...so how am i supposed to bulid backinks....
backlinks are a big problem as of now....and i am a little short of resources to buy backlinks...

so, any ideas about building backlinks....most of the direcotry submissions want reciprocal links and reciprocal links are a thing of past....that is what i read in an article!!

So, what do i do?
Thanks in adv.
Cheers!!

pranavbhat,

I agree with Nameslot and I believe that your website can benefit greatly from more unique content. According to the statistics by Nameslot, your website has no links in Google at all! That would explain the lack of PageRank.

My suggestion would be to produce a great amount of content in a small amount of time and submit the website to Google Directory if it isn't picked up upon. Would this be a feasible solution?

Aw.. I'm sorry that it went down by one. But then, the average site is 3-5 right? Hey, don't feel so bad =(

Now google's new rule google do not count directory links in PR so the simple way is write articles and put your site link in your article and submit the article in different article sites. And also do block posting. And try get link with your opponent.

These are the best way to get more and more backlinks.

I was a little worried, but happy to see that my main site is still PR0!

Yes, the newest changes have not been kind in general. It seems like things are more strict even about content.

But please don't cry about PR. I would rather hear what is happening with your site TRAFFIC???? My PR0 site still gets traffic, so I don't really care that it is that way. If you are looking to sell your site, and I know some people are, then PR is important because others think it is.

But the bottom line is how much traffic and how much money you are making, in my opinion.

oh ya..started with the article posting...but was just wondering wether the articles in my site and the ones which i post will be same? so is that ok? or will it be treated as duplicate content!

Hello friend chocokriz don't be sorry  and I want to tell you something this is contest running so please make quality post.

Don't finish your post to write sorry, thanks, wow, great, good etc...

I show your last few post and you just quote the post and write wow, thanks etc.. It's your first warning so please be careful.

Thanks.

Sorry, jayesh, but I don't post at forums very often - you'll have to excuse the occasional congratulatory or apologetic post. Next time, please send me a private message about these types of things. Thank You.

Anyway.

pranavbhat,

You might want to network a little more and see if you can find some affiliates with common interests as your website.  You deal with software in your articles, right?  There are a lot of places that might benefit greatly from some reviews that you do.

In fact, a great way to increase the PageRank might be to write a very detailed article or a negative review article and get it posted around.  I see links to private blogs and websites all the time on some technology news sites like SlashDot and Digg - if you're having a problem with a specific software or you found out something that no one else knows, you can submit your article to their database and it could be featured for a massive amount of hits.

I wouldn't depend on this as a way to promote my websites, but it certainly could be the answer to all of your problems if you do get featured.

It couldn't hurt to submit one of your good articles to those types of websites, anyway, because it'll at least get a few views from the staff and it'd be better than doing nothing, right?  Software articles are some of the most popular articles around, and there's a lot of competition, so don't feel bad if you have not reached out or your page hasn't gotten a Google PageRank yet.

Pranav you can write 2 sets of articles one to submit to the sites and others to host on your blog itself.

Now If I tell you to submit one of your article to the article directories then webmasters like jayesh who own article directories are having problems in duplicated content issues as you will submit it to more then 1 article directory. Moreover I cannot say that you write brand new article for every article directory. Can also not say that don't submit to article directories.

I think someone else will come in and take one side from the two and give better advice then myself. I am in a fix now
