Best place to park domain?

I'm looking to park some domains for revenue while I haven't developed them, and I was wondering which site is the best place to park domains in? Could you share your experiences with me?

Dear Momo,
I would not suggest you parking sites as they pay you very less. Let me know the domain name and the type of website you want to develop on them. Put some kind of PPC program on it say Adsense or YPN on it and that will surely give you more benifits then other parking programs.

This way your domain will also get some kind of ranking in Search Engines and would be easier to sell.

Thanks. If you don't have hosting then also let me know I will try and give you some space on our very own server.

I tried with SEDO,
But iam came to know that they are cheating me,so i removed them from SEDO and developed them a Little as Nameslot also adviced and now i have got better value of those domains.

Sedo is good, we had tried that place. They seemed to bring in more hits than at some other parked places. They pay on time and a low minimum was all one had to reach. Payment by Pay Pal.

Domain Sponsor is simply wonderful, they also brought in hits. They had a minimum to reach as well, payment by check.

There are others that I may mention later, but those two are very good.

Hi,

I have been using domainhop.com however depending on the content of your site i have found that bids will vary from anything from around a few cents upto a few dollars. You can either use a plain redirect or use there dns servers.

Andy, Domainhop.com a friend tried and they did pay if I remember right. Domainhop is a good one if the site has a lot of traffic and you are only wanting to find a way to at least get paid for the large amount of traffic from expired traffic.

As far as someone going there and seeing a Domainhop page, I think the likelihood of them wanting to click there is not real high as they tend to have to much to pick from to click/search on.

As far as the sites that you find when you click on them, I do not like the Domainhop as well as the other places. Kanoodle is their search engine and it is not as great as say for instance Google, and most the rest are run by Google. Plus one would get paid a lot more using the ones I mentioned above.

TrafficClub.com is one that we are trying right now, although I like the appearance of the site as it looks like either DomainSponsor, Google Ad Sense, or some search page, they aren't bringing in much revenue for clicks nor are they bringing in as many hits. They don't count some of the hits that the other places counted. As far as their minimum, I didn't see TrafficClub list a revenue to reach and it may take awhile at that rate.

GoldKey.com is also another new place that we are trying and we like that place a lot. They already paid me too. Minimum is $50 if I recall correctly. They have the best templates. They have the domains set up right away with advertisers that go along well with the name of your domain name. A person would be much more likely to click on one of those pages than some of the other sites, as the links are right in front of them.

Parkingsite.com is another new source for domain parking. They did pay me a couple of times. Clicks revenue is not very high per click there. They do have very nice templates there. They do have advertisers that go along with your domain idea sometimes, sometimes they do not. I've asked them a few times for the next pay and they haven't paid and I keep asking them. They used to have a button that you could go and request payout, but for some reason that button seems to be out of use at the present time.

If you have more than one domain that you wish to park for revenue that you are not presently using for a site, you can try several of these places mentioned above and just see which one you like the best.

I make advertising pages, which puts some text on the page of what is will probably become, and stick some adsense to it, some even generated a PR4 without me doing anything but linking them all together in a smart A-B-C linking way! And this is paying much more then just parking them!

Here's my example.
I just recieved a new domain - www.hostboard.org , www.domainbar.org
Iam developing PR for those and till that i have advertised them in many forums.
So,instead os parking them i have taken FREE hosting put a Single page on it which visitors are likely Tend to click on the ads.
And we Earn 100% rather than sharing with parking sites.

Klaas, it's great to have you here! Sounds like a great idea to me. Do you have some samples/examples of this work here?

Dear Domain Cat. If yu don't know we have another thing going on here at nameslot.com

We are offering adsense ready templates for our users who has some reputation and good posts here. You can also let me know which template you want and for which site. As a super moderator I think you are eligible for that perks.

Nameslot, Thank you that sounds like a wonderful offer from you and this forum here. Good thing you mentioned that, as I surely can't afford to pay people to design a site right now and since I don't have Photo Shop or Dreamweaver, could only use html that I know or use the free hosting sites that have simple templates. Please kindly let me know where I can find these templates and how I could edit them.

Parking is a big NO

1- They pay you less.
2- Google can put you in their sandbox.
3- You would not get backlinks from anywhere.

It's better to go with even some kind of a turnkey software appropriate top the domain name or may be build up a link directory using a software like Arlies and put ppc ads on it.

For example one of my site (freewindowsfonts.com) makes around 10 USD/month on avg. These are few html pages with some links. Purely typein traffic and I can not imagine that much of payout using and parking service. :)

Hope that helps.

To all,

New to the forum and domain industry, so need to ask a few basic questions..Have been building portfolio of names and looking to "parked" the domains..Some here have talked about Sedo, Goldkey and others, but a few have talked about doing it other ways. I have noticed that Google's Adsense requires a large number of unique users...What are the other methods and how would I go about doing that.

Thanks for all the help and good infomation

Aloha,
Johnny

What's "new" now is the Yahoo Ad Publisher Network, which is in Beta mode now and only for the USA residents. I applied and I did get in, so now my two sites plus my new site all have Yahoo ads on them.

The parked domains some had lots of traffic as they were popular sites, then we had to close them down and stop the hosting on the sites. This way we did still receive a lot of traffic that all went towards revenue earning from the parked domain sites. They do pay and they are really good for awhile. Until the hits go down that is.

TrafficClub paid, Gold Key paid, parkingsite paid, as well as of course DomainSponsor and Sedo. Parked sites are better than not having any site there on a domain at all.

If one can afford to, sure host it and type it up with some information that goes by the terminology. Then hope you can receive enough clicks to cover the cost of hosting.

There's also mini sites that someone had told me about.

Google Ad Sense you mentioned requires a large amount of unique viewers. Where did you read that, or was this just changed?

JhyUtah,

Forget about parking and start developing them into some kind of site.

Parking is less benificial then adsense.

That's what I am hearing from the other domain and webmaster forums also, I sure wish someone had told me that about a year ago when I started parking unused domains and made income out of them just sitting there. They are not hurting a thing where they are, they have relevent search key words that go along with the site and there is no cost for them to put up a cool looking template along with all the many advertisers that pay for the service of being there (in case of course someone should click on a domain name).

Although perhaps it may be good to develop them into a site, you have to realize that not everyone has webdesign fancy software to do so. To host a site it takes money, and when one has a lot of domains for future sites, it takes even more money. If I were to put all my domains on a site and pay someone to design the sites or buy the design software, that would cost me a fortune which since I can't work out of the home that is not possible. Then to sit around and login each week or so waiting for hopefully people to click on adsense ads is asking a lot.

Yes that is what I have been hearing for the last month or two, wish I had known that earlier. It just takes hosting for that and although I can make some basic sites and even found some basic html books so I can even make some basic templates and my computer has Microsoft Office which has some basic templates in it, the hosting for say 40 domains would cost quite a bit.

Hosting for 40 sites is not a big deal. PM me if you want a hosting account starting from $ 0.99/- per month.
