Try to get as much as relevant links you can.
At the bottom of each page use menus as text links.
Don't spam & Don't cloak.
Don't use doorway pages

Absolutely right because cloaking and doorway page can penalize your website ranking. I am not sure but i think these ways come under black hat SEO.

I would add: Create a top hits or featured posts section that makes it easy to find your best content. Also link back to your older posts in some of your newer posts to alert new readers to the best related posts in your archives and help search engines understand which pages are most important.

Quality content is the base of a website, if we get thematic back links for a website we can increase our website serp ranking
 
Above techniques are really helpful and also besides that there are more techniques which not only help you to increase your website traffic but also helps to improve PR of your site.......
 
I spend most of my time building quality back links. While on site seo which includes quality content is important, it won't be found as easily if you don't spend time building quality back links to your site and pages.

      All of you are right and i am totally agree with you. i also know some of seo techniques.

1.Get Those Inbound Links
Since Google ranks your pages according to the number of links pointing at your page, it stands to reason that you should try to get as many links pointing at your pages as possible. This is so obvious that I'm only mentioning it for completeness sake.
2. Your Title Tag
Google seems to give weight to the title of your page. By title, I mean the text that is sandwiched between the HTML <TITLE> tags in the <HEAD> section of your web page. If you use a Web editor that automatically inserts a title like "New Page", remember to change it to some meaningful text with your keywords inside to reap the benefit of this feature.
3. Content-Laden Pages (Keyword Density)
It has often been observed that Google considers keyword density a large factor in ranking pages in search engine results, more so than many other search engines. You can read more about keyword density and how you can improve it on your pages from my other article,
4. Keyword-laden Links?
According to a paper published by one of Google's founders, if the links pointing to your page has the relevant keyword text in them, it will cause your page to be ranked higher in search engine results. For example, a link with the text "Cheap Shoe Store" pointing at your site will cause your site to be listed earlier if a visitor searches for "cheap shoe store" than if the link simply said "click here". Hits or create a feature article post, which makes it easy to find the best content. Also a link to your old messages in some of your recent posts to alert readers to the best of new messages in your archives and search engines to understand what are the most important pages.
 
The best SEO techniques so far are those White hat SEO strategies. Don't cloak as my friend earlier said or spam cause search engines will not index your pages.
